Make Any Team Name Changes by April 8

We will be pulling the names for all teams and team members on April 8 to give to Hilton.  These will be on the ribbon board display that rings Hilton Coliseum's floor.  Since we don't control the input for that board, we cannot add or remove from the list once we have submitted it.  We will also use these names in the Best Team Name competition.

Upload Your Team Logos by April 8

Advisors can also upload their teams' logos by logging into their IT-Adventures account.  Please upload the logos by April 8 so your team can be in the Best Team logo competition.

Register Community Service Project and Upload PowerPoint by April 8

Advisors now have the ability to upload their school's community service project.  Please login and enter a description of your community service project, as well as upload your slide show by April 8.  Once teams have submitted their descriptions and PowerPoint slide show, they will be assigned a time slot during Saturday morning to be judged. It's important to provide the community service description and your PowerPoint slide show by April 8 so you will get a time slot to be judged and can earn your community service points.

Food!  at the 2010 IT-Olympics

Every student, advisor and mentor who attends the 2010 IT-Olympics will be fed for free by the IT-Adventures program.  All team members, plus their advisors and mentors, will be given a wrist ticket that will need to be worn for the entire two-day event and a food ticket punch card.  The wrist ticket by itself will get you access to unlimited soda pop and water, the Friday night pizza party and the Saturday morning pancake breakfast.  The food ticket is what will be used at the Hilton concession stands for Monday and Tuesday lunches and snacks.

The food ticket has six punches on it and each punch is valued at one food item.  For example, if on Friday you buy one walking taco, one hot dog and one ice cream cone, you will have three punches taken off your card with three remaining for Saturday's lunch and snack.  The food list and prices are available on the web site.  The red items on the list are the ones that can be used for a food punch (no punches will be taken for soda pop or water).   Students are welcome to bring money to purchase additional food items or candy which is not covered by the IT-Adventures budget.

Release Forms and Emergency Medical Forms are OVERDUE

The photograph/video authorization forms and emergency medical forms were due March 15.  Please make sure your students get them completed and signed and then put them in the mail to Ginny at the address below.  We must receive them prior to the event and we cannot accept them the morning of  the IT-Olympics sign in.

IT-Olympics Open to All

All parents, siblings, teachers and IT-Olympics team fans are welcome to attend the
two-day competition. There will be company booths and displays, as well as on Saturday morning there will be a Lego playing area for siblings to create their own robot with the original Lego bricks.

Second Annual IT-Olympics Rock Band Competition

The Second Annual IT-Olympics Rock Band Competition will be held Friday night from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.   Four member groups can sign up that night to compete in the “American Idol” style event.  The competition floor will be cleared at 6 p.m., so since you can't work on your challenges, grab a group of friends and sign up for Rock Band.

iPod Touch Drawing for Survey Participants

Students will be asked after IT-Olympics to complete a web survey about the IT-Adventures program.  Those students who completed last fall’s survey and complete the survey after IT-Olympics will qualify for the iPod Touch drawing.  The invitation to take the survey will be mailed to the email address listed in their registration with IT-Adventures starting the day after the competition.
